Parent Voices

This year, we are really looking at ways to improve communication with parents and carers. As well as going back to paper communication we are in the process of re-establishing our parent/carer voice forum which aims to:

  • give a voice to parents/carers
  • encourage open, effective communication between parents/carers, pupils, staff and governors
  • work in partnership with the academy to create a welcoming place that is inclusive for all parents/carers
  • identify and represent the views of the parents/carers on matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils
  • promote opportunities for parents/carers to engage in activities which support the education and welfare of pupils

The forum is:

  • set up by parents/ carers for parents/carers
  • a group pf parents/carers with equal representation from all key stages within the academy who meet each half term to discuss academy related issues
  • a mechanism through which parents'/carers' questions, concerns and suggestions can be raised to the academy leadership and/or governing body

The forum will not:

  • discuss issues relating to individual pupils or parents/carers
  • discuss issues relating to individual staff
  • organise fundraising or social activities

If you would like to be part of this group please look out for meeting dates which are on the weekly newsletters.
